questions

  • Ask florist what your floral investment is looking like right now (based on itemized list below…list can also be found in Alyssa’s initial inquiry to Rebecca).

Let florist know if $15,000 is your absolute maximum (tax included), or if you are okay with going a bit over, if needed.

    ITEMS NEEDED:

    • 1 bridal bouquet

    • 8 bridesmaid bouquets

    • 1 groom boutonniere

    • 8 groomsmen boutonnieres

    • 1 welcome table arrangement

    • Ceremony florals on central tent legs

    • Ceremony aisle arrangements

    • 16 centerpieces (for 66" rounds)

    • Sweetheart table florals

    • Cocktail table arrangements

    • Possible large installation in Library. If allowed, doing something with the main staircase railing?

    • Possible bar arrangements..?

    • Possible large seating chart florals?

    • Possible florals for ice cream cart (not yet secured, but that is the ideal vision)

    • Candles ("particularly with an organic, uneven look on the tables would be cool!")

  • When it comes to the itemized list of needed florals, what are your must-haves? What are the items that you want to prioritize?

  • Discuss what drew you to the florist’s work, what colors you are drawn to, what you noticed you gravitated towards/away from when compiling floral inspiration, etc.

  • If needed, would the florist be able to do a venue site visit before the wedding?

If yes, maybe we can schedule a time during August 2024 since The Woodmark’s landscaping will be in full-bloom + pretty reminiscent of how it will look in August 2025.

  • Discuss the florist staying for “the flip” a.k.a. transforming the tent from the ceremony to the reception dinner space.

Having the floral team stay for this will ensure that any blooms that wilted due to very hot temperatures can get replaced with fresh blooms. And it can ensure that candles + centerpieces are centered on tables + still look amazing from all angles.

  • Explain how you hired Aha Sugar Co. to serve ice cream out of a cart from 7:00pm - 9:00pm outdoors. If you did want to have florals adorning the ice cream cart, how much time would the florist need to do so if Aha Sugar Co. is planning to arrive on-site/begin setting up at 6:15pm?

  • Discuss what the florist does with the flowers post-event.
