Having a wedding coordinator or wedding planner, such as Pacific Engagements, proves to be indispensable during those pivotal moments before you walk down the aisle. Not shown in the photo above is the previous half hour where our lead planner, Alyssa, recruited three others to help her carry the bride’s massive, 50-pound, detachable, beaded wedding train down from the 32nd floor of the hotel. Because of its impeccable detailing and weight, the bride had asked to attach the full ballgown skirt right before the ceremony began.
Within the confines of the bridal suite, Alyssa skillfully hooked the hidden clasps of the train onto the fitted bodice of the gown, focusing extra attention on ensuring the attachment was secure. As the bride took a few moments to herself, Alyssa exited the bridal suite to check in with Taytum, the other Pacific Engagements planner on-site. Taytum and Alyssa lined up the walking pairs of the wedding party and confirmed that all guests had arrived and found their seats in the ceremony room. Once it was confirmed that nothing else needed to be done, Taytum cued the pianist to begin playing the processional melody and sent the groom and other wedding party members out of the hallway and down the aisle.
With the groom, bridesmaids, and groomsmen successfully at the altar, Alyssa led the bride out of the bridal suite and into position alongside her parents. With her trained eye and steady hands, Alyssa ensured that every fold and crease of the wedding ballgown train was properly arranged and centered. Though fluffing the bride’s wedding train might seem like a small gesture, this meticulous attention to detail allowed the bride to comfortably walk forward without the weight of the train causing her to lose her balance and also ensured that the dress material didn’t get caught on any obstructions when the bride rounded the corner before emerging at the start of the ceremony aisle.
The roles of Pacific Engagements’ planners extends far beyond logistical coordination. With their precise execution, they guarantee that your wedding ceremony is thoughtfully planned out and starts on time. Entrusting Pacific Engagements with the responsibility of making sure the ceremony space is set up as you’ve envisioned before guests begin to arrive requires a high level of expertise, professionalism, and time management. With Pacific Engagements, you are not just hiring a wedding planner; you are securing a knowledgeable partner who understands the importance of every nuance, making your wedding day an event you can fully immerse yourself in and enjoy.
