In the heart of the city, where history met contemporary elegance, a remarkable celebration unfolded. AXIS Pioneer Square provided the perfect setting for Alexandra and Erik’s wedding that was a beautiful blend of vintage Hollywood glamour and modern romance.
In the quiet moments before the day began, the bride prepared for her special day in the luxurious interiors of the Lotte Hotel. Surrounded by her closest friends, she pinned back the last few of her Brigitte Bardot curls and slipped into her elegant, asymmetrical Danielle Frankel silk gown, donning its cowl back and watteau train. After gingerly pulling on her white lace gloves, Alexandra grabbed her bridal bouquet - a cluster of pristine creamy white roses, each petal velvety and slightly curled - and eagerly made her way down the hall to meet Erik in a penthouse loft for their first look. With the iconic Smith Tower in the background and the morning sun pouring in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, they saw one another for the first time that day and all both could do was widely smile. After soaking in the sight of one another, they tightly embraced and enjoyed the quiet, uninterrupted time with one another before their journey to their wedding venue began.
Pulling away in a vintage Mercedes convertible, the couple smiled and waved as they began their drive through the city of Seattle. It was a moment of sheer excitement and anticipation; a private celebration that marked the start of their wedding day celebration. When they arrived to their venue, AXIS Pioneer Square, their excitement grew exponentially from knowing their close family and friends were inside finding their seats with glasses of sparkling wine in hand. From outside, the bride and groom could hear audible voices of guests as they greeted one another within, accompanied by the graceful notes of the string quartet.
Once Erik heard the gentle initial notes of Gregory Alan Isakov's "San Luis" play, he began his slow and steady procession past the faces of gathered loved ones. When he approached the lush floral arch adorning the historic brick walls, he turned around to face the many individuals who came to support his marriage to Alexandra, but his full attention was on the giant brick archway in the back of the room where she would soon emerge. In a dramatic movement, all bodies in the room rose and pivoted towards the beginning of the ceremony aisle, and Alexandra emerged arm-in-arm with her stepfather. Time was passing so fast and so slow at the same time, though finally, she was united with Erik and taking hold of his hands as they stood under the ceremony arch.
After vows were exchanged, the evening continued with guests being treated to a delectable Southern-inspired plated dinner. The menu was a nod to the couple’s deep love for delectable cuisine, and a reflection of the couple's shared home in the heartland of Texas. Guests were seated at long reception tables adorned with elegance, featuring vintage decanters, etched glassware, flickering taper candles, ornate floral china, hand-calligraphed name cards, and custom floral-bordered oval menus. The ambiance was intimate, with the soft candlelight casting a warm glow on the faces of the couple and their guests.
The evening was further enhanced by the soulful melodies of a live performance by the Blue Wave Band, whose music set the perfect tone for an evening of celebration and dance. Amidst the laughter and the music, Kristen Marie Parker Photography captured fleeting moments that later became cherished memories. The genuine smiles, the shared glances, and the heartfelt embraces of the evening can now be enjoyed in the following gallery.
