The Woodmark Hotel
Julianna and Omid's wedding day at The Woodmark Hotel was a mesmerizing blend of Jewish and Persian traditions, artfully interwoven to celebrate their unique union. The day began with an energetic and heartfelt Tisch, where guests gathered to mingle and enjoy the lively atmosphere. The couple then embraced their heritage with a personal twist on the traditional 7 Circles ceremony. On the grand staircase of the hotel's elegant library, Julianna and Omid performed the ritualistic 7 Circles around each other. The sight of their joyful dance, witnessed by their family and friends from below, added a profoundly moving and intimate touch to the day’s celebrations.
As the ceremony transitioned to the beautifully decorated tent, the couple was seated at their ornate Persian sofreh, which served as the sacred space for their ceremonial traditions. Their audience actively took part in the kaleh ghand, a sugar-grinding tradition symbolizing the sweetening of the couple’s future life together. The sofreh's symbolic lace canopy was then transformed into the Jewish chuppah, seamlessly merging their traditions. They concluded with the Breaking of the Glass and enjoyed the remainder of the evening basking in the warm golden glow of the sunshine on the waters of Lake Washington.
