In the serene gardens of The Dumbarton House in Washington, DC, Ola and Emily chose a classic black and white theme for their one-year vow renewal. The couple exuded sophistication with Ola dressed in a sharp black tuxedo and Emily in a romantic, ivory, tulle ballgown.
Tables were elegantly set on the terrace with a textured ivory table cloth from La Tavola Linen, complemented by ivory upholstered dining chairs, white hemstitch napkins, and pristine white china. The focal point of the décor were the floral centerpieces – a mix of creamy blooms, dark green leaves, and touches of deep burgundy foliage to soften the striking contrast between the white and black hues within the monochrome palette.
Incorporating textures and subtle colors is a great way to elevate a monochrome palette, especially if you don’t want too much color in your reception table design, and also don't want your tables to look bland. They end up making the perfect touches.
